St. Patrick's Day closure

This is a public service announcement to announce that we (both libraries) will be closed on Tuesday 17th March, St. Patrick's Day. Please note that all buildings will be closed on March 17th.  That is all

AS Library Saturday closures

It seems unfortunate that the most recent postings here all relate to closing a library for a while, but at least it's summer and most of you are occupied elsewhere. Anyway, Aungier St library will be closed on the following three Saturdays in July

Saturday 19th July 
Saturday 26th July

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please note that Dame Street Library will be open until 5pm on these Saturdays

Aungier Street Library Closure - Friday 13th June

The Aungier St library will be closed on Friday 13th June to facilitate library-type stuff. Dame St library will remain open and Aungier will be open as normal on Saturday

Christmas Break

  The library will close at 5pm on Friday 20th December and re-open on Thursday 2nd Jan.

All college buildings will close the evening of Monday the 23rd Dec.
Do note that the Aungier Street building will be open  9:00am–5:00pm on Fri 27th - Mon 30th & Tues 31st Dec.  for students who wish study space.  The library stays closed on these days however

AS library early closure - Wed. 11th Septmeber

AS library will close at 12noon on Wed. 11th September as the Open Day for Staff will take place that afternoon.
You are welcome to use our Dame Street Library that will be open until 10pm that day.

Christmas break closure: reminder

DBS Facilities will be closed from Friday 21st Dec. until Tuesday 1st Jan. inclusive but Aungier Street building will be open 9.00-18.00 on Thursday 27th Dec., Fri. 28th Dec. and Mon. 31st Dec.

The two libraries will close on Thursday 20th Dec. at 17.00 and will re-open on Wednesday 2nd Jan. at 9.00 for AS Library, and 9.30 for DS Library.


Note as well that the two libraries will be open 11.00-17.00 on Sudnay 6th January.

Sunday Opening & Christmas Closure

Library Sunday opening

To help you with your winter exam revisions, Aungier St. and Dame St. libraries will be open on the following 3 Sundays from 11.00 to 17.00:

• Sunday 9th December
• Sunday 16th December
• Sunday 6th January

Christmas closure

The College will be closed from Friday 21st December until Tuesday 1st January inclusive.

Early closure of Aungier Street Library

On Wed. 12th Sept. Aungier Street Library will exceptionally close at 12noon to facilitate the Open Day event for DBS staff.

Dame Street Library will remain open until 10pm as usual.

Aungier Street Library: Closure (25th to 30th June)

 

The library in Aungier Street will be closed from Monday 25^th June until Saturday 30^th June inclusive to allow for the replacement of the windows and the reorganisation of study spaces.

That week, Dame Street Library will be open:

• Monday to Thursday 09.30-22.00
• Friday 09.30-17.00
• Saturday 09.00-17.00

Auniger Library Closure Wenesday 7th September

On Wednesday 7th September the Aungier St. library will close at midday to facilitate a Library, Careers and Student Services open day for DBS staff. The Dame St. library will be open as normal until 10pm, so hopefully any inconvenience will be minimised.

Yes we can... DS Library closing at 1pm on Monday 23rd

As you may know, President Obama’s speech will take place on College Green on Monday next (23rd May) and there will be major access restrictions to Dame Street starting at 14.00. Therefore our DBS Dame Street building will close at 13.00.

So if you do not wish to go and listen to President Obama and wish to study instead, you are invited to use our Aungier Street Library which will remain open until 22.00 that day.

Library Closure - St. Patrick's Day

As ever, the library will be closed on St. Patrick's Day, Thursday 17th March. Don't party too hard now and don't forget we start Sunday opening on 27th March, in good time for those dreaded exams.

Self-Service is coming to Dame St.

Last summer we introduced RFID self-service stations to Aungier St. It's no understatement to say that they have been a big success. It's also no understatement to say that you'd like Dame St. to go self-service. too. Next month we will be granting your wish. However to facilitate this, we will have to close Dame St library from the 16th to the 20th of August. As this is a time when some of you will be furiously working on dissertations, we plan to ship all the theses held in Dame St library down to Aungier St. so that they are still accessible when the library is closed. A reminder will appear nearer the time

Library closure - St. Patrick's Day

As in previous years, all DBS librariers will be closed on St. Patrick's Day, giving you more time to celebrate the feast day of Ireland's patron saint.
