Summer Opening Hours

Summer is upon us and you'll all go off to have good times elsewhere.  Not us, we're still here and these are our opening hours from Monday 16th May to Sunday 18th September

Have a good summer and we'll see you back here in September.  If you're not coming back, then all the best and we hope you'll think fondly of the library!

From Saturday 17th May we are switching to summer opening hours.  As most, but not all of you are finishing your exams and swanning off for the summer, we'll be cutting back opening hours across our two libraries.  However as a few of you will be here over the summer, we will, as in previous years, maintain some evening opening.  Ok, less talk, more times:

Summer opening hours

We all hope you're doing well with your exams (it's nearly over!) and that you'll have a great (and hopefully sunny) summer.

And in case this means visiting DBS library, you'd be happy to know that we'll be here for you all summer long, with different opening hours, but still giving you the opportunity to study until 22:00 four evenings a week (if you really want to that is!)

The Library summer opening hours will kick in on Monday 16th May and the two libraries will be open alternatively until 22.00 Monday to Thursday to allow you studying in the evening even over the summer.

Aungier Street Library - Extended opening hours - Temporary closure

Extended opening hours:
In link with DBS open evenings, the Library in Aungier Street will open until 20.00 (instead of 17.15) on:

• Wednesday 25th August 2010
• Wednesday 8th September 2010

Temporary closure:
On Wednesday 15th September, Aungier Street Library will temporarily close between 13.00 and 17.15 but will reopen from 17.15 until 20.00.

Aungier Street building will remain open normally so you are welcome to use classrooms between 13.00 and 17.15.

Dame Street Library will be opened normally that day from 9.30 until 22.00.

Library SUMMER opening hours

We are switching to summer opening hours on Monday May 17th and until Saturday September 25th. During this period all students can access all DBS Libraries without restriction (which means that undergraduate students are welcome to use Dame Street Library).

Opening hours for Aungier Street and Dame Street will be as follows:

Summer Late Opening - extended hours

Most of us may be taking advantage of the long summer evenings but there are some dedicated part time students who have expressed an interest in getting in some additional quality time with the library over the Summer months.

To accomodate students who want to squeeze in some extra library time, we will extend Summer opening hours to provide access until 10pm Monday - Thursday

Late opening will alternate between the Aungier st & Dame st sites as follows;

Monday	09:30 – 22:00 DAME ST
Tuesday	09:30 – 22:00 AUNGIER ST
Wednesday	09:30 – 22:00 DAME ST
Thursday	09:30 – 22:00 AUNGIER ST
Friday	09:30 – 17:15 AS & DS*
Saturday	09.30 -17:15 (AS- 09:30-14:00 DS)

These opening hours will come into effect on Monday June 15th

* Remember study room AS 1.6 is still available for students on Friday evenings until 21:00

Classroom available for study when library closed

Though the vast majority of DBS students have dispersed to Summer pastures, we are aware that some of our hardworking ACCA students still have exams in the pipeline.

Monday to Thursday the Aungier St and Dame St libraries alternate late opening until 8 PM as follows;

Monday - Dame St
Tuesday - Aungier St
Wednesday -Dame St
Thursday - Aungier St

Which brings us to Friday, when both AS & DS CLOSE AT 17:15

However, before you decry the possibility of studying on the street on Friday evenings...
to accomodate anyone requiring study space on Friday evenings we've arranged that a classroom be allocated for the duration of the summer.

Room AS 3.3
will be available from 17:15 until 21:00
every Friday evening until term time hours re-commence in Sept

The Aungier St building closes at 21:30 on Friday evenings so we would ask that students availing of this study space ensure they have vacated the building by this time so security staff can lock up.
